Claustrophobia Should you send your Children into an inflatable

Should you send your child into an inflatable/ amusement unit?

Parents or party planners spend a fortune and a lot of time into organizing a kids' party, hoping all the invitee kids have a blast yet, some kids just refuse to enter the play area.

Some kids would rather just sit by their parents' side, or run about causing a lot of commotion. They would just REFUSE to go and play with other kids in the play place.

Such kids would not only refuse but get downright cranky and unreasonable if sent to a closed, confined amusement place like

  • a tunnel slide,
  • a doll house,
  • a maze or
  • a bouncy castle.

Kids behave very strangely if they are forced to go into such small places. Strange behavioural characteristics may include:

  • Sweating
  • Rapid heartbeat
  • Shortness of breath or hyperventilation-
  • Trembling
  • Lightheartedness or fainting
  • Nausea
  • Feeling of dread, terror or panic.

Parents/guardians fail to understand why this happens to some children...

All these characteristics are symptoms of Claustrophobia.

Claustrophobia is a form of anxiety disorder in which an irrational fear of having no escape may surround a person, often leading to a sudden panic attack.
Next time a child says no to a certain playing activity, an amusement unit or a ride, be sure to check for these signs before you force them and regret later.
